At ParrotGlow, we prioritize a seamless and stress-free delivery experience for our customers. Once your payment is confirmed, your parrot will be scheduled for next-day delivery. For example, if you complete your payment today, your feathered companion will arrive by tomorrow evening. After finalizing the delivery arrangements, we’ll provide you with a tracking number and all necessary shipping details to keep you informed throughout the process.
Shipping Details
Transporting your parrot is straightforward and secure. Your bird will travel in a climate-controlled, pet-friendly cabin within an airline-approved carrier. Before shipping, you’ll receive the flight number, estimated arrival time, and a reference number to track your parrot’s journey.
We offer two convenient options for receiving your parrot:
Home Delivery: Direct delivery to your specified address.
Airport Pickup: Collect your parrot at the airport using the provided reference or airbill number, similar to standard passenger pickups.
Shipping is designed to be safe and comfortable for your parrot. With over 11 years of experience in avian transportation, we prioritize non-stop direct flights whenever possible. Feedback from our customers indicates that their parrots arrive happy, comfortable, and stress-free.
How We Ship Our Parrots
Airline shipping is the fastest and safest method to transport parrots, especially for customers residing in different states or distant locations. Our parrots are shipped in airline-approved plastic pet kennels, customized to accommodate their size, weight, and travel duration. They travel in a special climate-controlled and pressurized compartment, separate from passenger luggage, ensuring maximum comfort.
Each shipping crate is clearly marked with “LIVE ANIMALS” and “UP” stickers for visibility. The crate is labeled with your destination airport, confirmation number, and contact details. To ensure your parrot is comfortable during transit, we introduce them to the crate beforehand so they feel at ease. We provide sufficient food and water, so in the rare event of a layover or flight delay, your parrot remains well-nourished and hydrated.
Additionally, we monitor weather conditions prior to shipping to ensure safe transportation. If the weather is deemed hazardous, we will reschedule shipping for the next safest available time. We ship Monday through Saturday and guarantee the safe and healthy arrival of your parrot. Upon arrival, parrots may take a day or two to adjust, but most settle in quickly.
Nanny Shipping Option
For a more personalized experience, we offer Nanny Shipping Services, where a professional Airline Pet Nanny will accompany your parrot on the flight and hand-deliver them directly to you. This is the safest, most reliable, and least stressful way for your parrot to travel. The Pet Nanny ensures your parrot receives the attention and care they need throughout the journey.
Additional Shipping Information
All parrots are shipped with ice water, bedding, and food as needed.
We primarily use American Airlines, United Airlines, and Continental Airlines, as they have dedicated pet-friendly travel compartments.
Health Certificates are mandatory for all pets traveling via air. This ensures your parrot is healthy and not exposed to any potential risks during travel.
What to Do Upon Arrival
Please be available at home or the airport at the designated arrival time.
Parrots are typically available one hour after the flight’s arrival time.
A valid photo ID (such as a driver’s license) is required for airport pickups.
Upon receiving your parrot, please call or email us to confirm their safe arrival.
We recommend taking your parrot to a veterinarian within 48 hours for a routine health check-up.
Our team will follow up with you 24 hours after delivery to answer any questions and ensure your satisfaction.
